IF YOU CANNOT FIND IT
Check the VIN and your access
Use the Search VIN control shown in the portal. If the record is still missing, confirm the assessment completed and ask the pilot contact to check account access.

01 / THE ASSESSMENT
Learn the sequence. Follow the app. Give the next person a result they can use.
GUIDED APP WALKTHROUGH
See how acoustic capture and OBD information support a structured vehicle assessment.
Follow the narrated walkthrough for the app sequence, device connection and recording steps. Updated 5 October 2026.
MANUAL-TRANSMISSION APPENDIX
Watch this separate appendix for the manual-transmission portion of the assessment. Use it alongside the main app walkthrough.
02 / USING THE PORTAL
A guided tour of Trade-In-Telligence, using the actual portal screens. Choose a task below or watch the walkthrough.
The recording starts after sign-in. These example records are not WBAC pilot results.
IF YOU CANNOT FIND IT
Use the Search VIN control shown in the portal. If the record is still missing, confirm the assessment completed and ask the pilot contact to check account access.
IF SOUND DOES NOT PLAY
Use the play control beside the inspection timestamp. Check the player mute control and your device volume. Retain the vehicle and assessment reference if the issue persists.
BEFORE USING ESTIMATES
The example OBD Insight screen shows dollar amounts and labour hours. These are not confirmed UK costs or a repair quotation, and a suggested part is not a confirmed diagnosis.
Confirm the vehicle and collection date, read the codes and acoustic findings, check readiness and PTX, then review the recording and OBD Insight. Keep concerns visible even when the overall score looks favourable.
03 / READ THE RESULT
Read the report findings alongside the PTX score. Continue to follow WBAC’s appraisal and escalation process.
Training example. No vehicle is being assessed.
A high score does not confirm that every component is fault-free, certify roadworthiness or authorise a purchase. A concern found during the normal appraisal still needs attention.
Acoustic analysis adds information that may not appear as a diagnostic trouble code.
Read the reported codes and available operating information in context. No codes does not mean no fault.
Use the findings and the normal appraisal together. Escalate inconsistencies through the agreed pilot process.
04 / COMMON SITUATIONS
Five situations you may meet at a branch. Choose a response to see the reasoning.
05 / LOCATION READINESS
Use this checklist with each branch lead before the first pilot assessment.
Select your pilot location. Checks are temporary and clear when this page reloads.
06 / HELP & REFERENCE
Resolve the cause, keep the record and ask for help when needed.
Check that you have the kit assigned to your location, the required app permissions and the connection shown in the app. Follow the approved device connection instructions. If it remains unavailable, record the issue and contact the pilot support lead.
Follow the app’s retry instructions. Correct the capture problem first. Record repeated failures through the agreed support process; do not count an unfinished assessment as complete.
Check the assessment status and connectivity. Do not assume that starting a test means the report is saved. If it does not complete, retain the assessment reference and escalate.
Keep the result and record the concern through the approved pilot channel. Continue the normal WBAC escalation process. Do not dismiss a visible or audible concern because the score is favourable.
Preserve both records and their matching vehicle reference. Flag the difference for the agreed review process. The pilot team needs the details to understand what happened.
Use the final WBAC pilot eligibility rules. The vehicle-value threshold is awaiting confirmation in this review edition. Do not infer that diesel or every vehicle type is supported from general product material.
Usage: are eligible vehicles being assessed consistently? Performance: how do completed assessments compare with the later RAC findings? Keep incomplete tests and missing comparison records visible.
